St Abbs 01/06/07

PeterM and myself were out with DBS on Peter Gibsons MV Selkie Friday night!
The swell was pretty big and underwater there was quite a surge. At least 3-4 people on the boat were a lovely shade of green and not Peter!!!
On the dive we came across free swimming Pipefish

and a nice cooperative Wolffish ;)

There were loads off large Anemones, but couldn't get the surge to hold me still long enough to get a decent picture, loads of plankton in the water and we had Guillemots swimming with us on the way down and at our safety stop. Impressed with Both Peter and my own ability to carry out the 3 minute safety stop whilst in the surge, especially given Peter's air reading!!

Went to Dunbar for some chips and to see if the Bridge has been replaced yet, but its still out!!:mad:

Sounds like a brilliant night out. I'm very envious of you seeing such a cool looking wolffish: well done on capturing such an excellent image of it despite the conditions. :D

there are 5 more pictures of it, just thought this was the best, it was quite a poser! It backed away when Peter spotted it, but as soon as I came in with camera it started to come out to meet me :)

I was, its been just over two weeks....speedy recovery, can't keep me out the water for too long!

Had to usher Chris into boat wheelhouse to stop Chris' natural urge to help people by lifting their rigs into the boat despite three recently healed (or not) puncture wounds - plonker - he should be reserving his strength to carry my stuff! :D
