Nice Shots, what macro size did you use or are they cropped? Tell us about your set-up. :)

less than 10m id guess if the water is clear although nearer 6m id assume, without a flash & no macro.
good pics, keep posting.

Stewart, your spot on. These where all taken between 4 and 6m.

The kit I'm using is:
Camera - Olympus SP500-UZ
Housing - Ikelite 6132.50
Stobe - Ikelite DS-125 strobe with Ikelite 4100.6 manual controller
Wide angle lens - Inon Type 2

These were actually taken with the wide angle lense. I've been using it to let me get closer and still fit everything in. These where probably 30-50cm from the camera. The strobe was on for these as well. If I remember right the setting were F4.5 1/100 at ISO80. I will need to check the camera.

These have been tweeked in Photoshop. I'm still new to this uw photography lark and haven't figured out the settings I need, I'm using the camera on full manual mode. The originals are still coming out very dark

The reason they're cropped is because the WA lense distorts the outer edge of the pic and I keep forgetting to zoom in slightly to remove it

Hi Alex.
The first two pics where on a wreck. Details of the site are on your original thread about X Craft.

http://www.congeralley.com/forum/showthread.php?t=790

Do you have the locations of these wrecks? We' ve heard that there is other wrecks in Loch Striven but don't really know where?

Sorry Scott, I do not know of the site of any X-craft wrecks. I know that Loch Striven, Caladh harbour in Loch Riddon, and Port Bannatyne on Bute were used for training but do not know if there are any X-craft left on the seafloor or, if there are any, where.

At Brackley Point in Loch Striven, there is the wreckage of 2 shore diveable MTBs or minesweepers (depending on who you listen to or read) and a barge all in 20m or less, plus there is the the boat diveable more intact MTB in 42m

I have a provisional divesite guide somewhere.

Hi Alex.
I've definately beeon on one of the "boats" at Brackley point. But I think it has been the same one on 2 occasions. Found one a 10m and again at 6m but this was on a low spring tide.

If you had a link to the guide that would be great. Although with the bottom sloping off so quick at Brackley Point they must lie in a narrow band.
