Interesting BC, how do you find the Besea, I have been looking at that for when I upgrade, although not for a few years probably but would like to know thoughts on it, is it the customisable version??
Hi Chris.
Yep, it's the customisable one. I'm waiting or integrated weight pouches (been on back order for a while now  ) I've made a few tweeks of my own though. These being:
Changed the cord on the pull dumps to make then slightly longer. This is due to my suit being just a baw hair too small for me meaning I have limited flexabilty at the extremes of my reach, meaning I couldn't get my arm round to pull them.
The clamretract system designed to pull the wing in around your tank(s) when deflated didn't really work when I got it, once I adjusted the bugees this works great (disclamier, they tell you not to adjust these as they are factory set and overightening could prevent the wing from filling. But a bit of common sense told me that if I could orally inflate it after tightening with no deformation to the wing shape then a 300 bar set of twins shouldn't have an issue either)
Generally I find it a good wing. It is fully adjustable, back length and all (they only make one size for all)
One thing it is missing is a pull dump on the inflator hose. Aparently this was left off the W100 wing as it is aimed at tech divers and therefore gives them one less mechanism to fail. This means you have to raise the hose to deflate which leads to water almost always getting in. But not a problem.
One thing I did learn though is don't feed the inlfator hose through the velcro straps on the shoulder strap as this means the bend in the hose is lower than the top of the wing and won't fully delfate it. But I've never had a problem finding the hose, it's always where I expect it to be when I need it.
There are plenty of eyelets to attach all sorts of toys.
The level of construction is bombproof. It also pack down pretty small. I would be happy taking it on holiday with me, and that is with the largest wing in the range.
If your ever coming near Greenock and want a look let me know. If I like the cut of your jib I might even let you have a shot ;)
In short I wouldn't change it, I dive with some guys who use the older model and I can see the envy in their eyes :D
Scott.
Cheers for that Scott, It does look a nice bit of Kit, will keep a hold of my Tiguillo Hover for now but this might be top of my new wish list :)
yup,
nice wing, a friend of mine has one & swears by it.
i have no reason to doubt him as he is a salad dodger with a single 15 & pony.
the lift can hold him very high out the water.
i guess if you have twin 7' x 300 bar & live near Greenock then you must have been taught by Jed? ;)
